Can we say, "Crescent Hawk's
Revenge 2"? I wish, but MC is no shabby achievement.
Incredible graphics and precise tactical control, coupled with
generous salvage and modification options, more than make up for
the very edited BattleTech rules by which MC supposedly plays.
Real-time tactical control of individual units and lances in
highly detailed environments is a genuine joy to behold and play.
The demo is over 112MB, so you'll do better to buy the full game
used for $20 than to download this monster, despite the two
unique demo missions included. Trivia note:
There are more secret places and mission tricks than I can count;
see the websites below for hints and links to other more
comprehensive sites, including ones with full walkthroughs of
every mission. NO, MicroSoft didn't buy FASA, they just bought
FASA Interactive, who released MC.

Non-patched version:
To use these cheats, you have to first create a file in the main
directory (where you installed) called: buymechcommander.2
- IF YOU DON'T CREATE THIS FILE, THE CHEATS WON'T WORK!!! Type in
the following codes during gameplay:
lorrie - Replenish ammo
osmiu - Toggle god mode on/off
Patched version:
To use these cheats, you have to first create a file in the main
directory (where you installed) called: ixtlriimceourl
(there is no file extension for this file) by making a copy of windows.fit
and renaming it. This is the secret file needed to enable the
cheats. Type in the following codes during gameplay:
Gameplay Cheats - These cheats
must be typed in during the mission.
framegraph - Show the framerate
lorrie - Restore ammo and armor
osmium - Toggle God mode
deadeye - Maximum gunnery skills
Ctrl-Alt-W - Wins mission
Ctrl-L - Maps terrain
glennrocksthehouse - Full salvage
lordbunny - Unlimited artillery, hold B and left
click to use artillery
mineeyeshaveseentheglory - Reveal full map
Logistics Cheats - These cheats must be typed in during
the Logistics Phase.
poundofflesh - Adds 1,000,000 Resource Points.
rockandrollpeople - Removes Drop Weight Limit on
current mission.
